Woke up to a very chilly morning here in Eau Claire. When looking outside it appeared as a hazy day with fluffy white clouds that appeared to be very high in the air. Also, there were patches of blue sky showing through in spots of the cloud cover. This cloud cover appears to be bringing the cloud weather with it because it is easily 20 degrees colder then it was yesterday at this time.
Above is a picture displaying the wind from this morning. Between the Dakota's and Minnesota you can see a stream of cold artic air coming from the north. This will bring chilly temperatures for this weekend.
This picture above shows the current temperatures using different colors to represent different temperatures on the map of the U.S. The upper Midwest area is much colder then anywhere else in the U.S.
This last picture is of the local radar around the Eau Claire area. There is some cloud cover with potential snow falling right now that may hit the Chippewa Valley area in the next few hours. It doesn't appear to be a very big storm cell so it should be gone by the time the evening rolls around.

Overall a nice day on the lower campus here at Eau Claire. The morning started off as partly cloudy but lead to the first rays of sun in the afternoon. This was a nice break from the normal dreary cloud cover we have been experiencing lately. As the evening progressed the cloud cover rolled back in cutting out the sun once again. Knowing that it is supposed to be cold this weekend, we could potentially see a drop in temperature along with a potential snow storm rolling through the area.
Above is the radar at the current time of writing this blog. As you can see there is not much on the radar as of now but there were storms brewing over the Dakota's.
The above picture is of the winds at the current time of the blog. The light blue color starts off at 10 mph and works up from there.
This final picture is of the different pressures during the middle of the day on the 29th. A high pressure system is coming down from Canada, with a low pressure system is out on the east coast.
